ABOUT LAXMI SHINDE

Aspiring Food Scientist currently pursuing a BSc in Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Leeds, with a growing interest in food regulatory affairs and product development. I’m passionate about understanding how science, safety, and innovation come together to create high-quality, compliant, and consumer-driven food products. Through my academic background, hands-on lab experience, and exposure to real-world food research and volunteer work, I’m developing a strong foundation to contribute to the evolving food industry with both scientific insight and regulatory awareness. I’ve had the opportunity to intern under a clinical dietitian at a multi-tertiary hospital, gaining first-hand experience in nutritional care and patient support. I’ve also volunteered with organisations like FareShare Yorkshire, where I worked with food sorting and distribution, helping reduce food waste and support communities in need.I’m eager to apply my growing knowledge in real-world settings, expand my skills, and contribute meaningfully to the field of food and nutrition.
