Lead the network integration and architecture of a $1.2 billion acquisition between Dart Container & Solo Cup. Required overhaul and redesign of the two organizations to consolidate into a unified network supporting users. Architected and upgraded the two main data centers legacy networks to the Cisco Data Center Unified Fabric framework using Cisco Nexus benefiting from vPC, VDC, VRF, and FCOE technologies. Architected a global WAN solution providing highly available connectivity to 50+ locations. Designed and implemented inter-data center SAN connectivity and replication using FCIP. Re-designed and upgraded legacy fibre channel SAN infrastructure, integrating it with current Cisco Nexus FCOE infrastructure, allowing server team to seamlessly migrate servers to converged network adapters. Implemented various firewall solutions to provide remote access to users, secure B2B tunnels to partners, and protect internal applications. Design data center cabling and rack infrastructure standards for data centers ranging from 800 to sq ft. Responsible for the management of network infrastructure projects, which includes resource management (people, services, equipment, budget, and software), schedule management, reporting and communication in alliance with the business processes, procedures and tools. Architected network connectivity to a variety of cloud providers, allowing other teams to begin utilizing cloud services while not compromising network security or performance. Project lead in multiple data center migrations, expansions, and consolidations. Provide senior technical leadership, technical mentoring, and staff development for other team members, enabling engineers to take on larger projects. Prepare project plans, technical justifications, and solution diagrams for various projects.
