ABOUT LAWRENCE JARMAN
I am an infrastructure specialist with over 10 years of experience in technology, serving public and private sector organisations. I currently lead a team of engineers at Ativion, a leading provider of cloud-based solutions for education and business. I am responsible for the monitoring, maintenance, and development of the infrastructure on which our products are hosted, across Azure and AWS platforms.I have a strong interest in cyber security and compliance, having completed the UK Government endorsed Upskill in Cyber programme delivered by SANS. I have obtained two certifications from this programme: GSEC401 and GFACT275, which demonstrate my knowledge and skills in foundational cyber security technologies and frameworks. I have also worked with ISO:27001, ISO:9001, Cyber Essentials, and PCI DSS standards, and written and implemented policies to support these frameworks and help to evidence the practice of compliance.I have led migration projects to improve performance and reduce technical debt and documented the systems to enable the transition of systems to the control of others.I value personal development and training, and I promote best working practices in cloud and on-premises solutions. I believe in openness, honesty, integrity, and communication as core values for building a dedicated and motivated team.
