My favorite thing about the eight years I spent playing professional basketball for teams in nine different countries is the relationships developed with my teammates, coaches, trainers, neighbors, and friends. The food, of course, is a close second. It’s a poignant thing to consider that some of the kindest, funniest, most interesting people you have ever known (and most delicious restaurants you have ever frequented) are scattered far around the world. I have lived and worked in Mexico, Lebanon, South Korea, Israel, Germany, France, Qatar, Japan, and visited countless more - my wife, dogs, and I packing up year to year and diving into new cultures. I’ll omit, here, the barrage of our stories of invaluable experiences in almost every continent on this earth, but please, feel free to ask.When my knees started to ache and the distance from basket to basket somehow got longer, I knew my time professionally playing the sport that had given me the privilege of travel had come to an end.Having a passion for engaging the lives and everyday experiences of people around me, I began as the Operations & First Impressions Lead for CCV Stars Peoria. I gained a practical understanding of behind-the-scenes processes and a fundamental introduction to management. Earning the role of Director, I launched a new satellite program for Stars at CCV North Phoenix. By developing a welcoming environment, collaboratively managing hundreds of volunteers, and providing a high quality experience for hundreds of customers each season, I produce significant program growth YoY.I now have years of project management experience and a deep dedication to the value that each of us carries in our uniqueness.
