As the Operational Lead for Norfolk’s Community Mental Health Services at BreakForth, I oversee the delivery of personalised, high-quality mental health support across multiple offices and areas, managing managers, team leaders, and a large multidisciplinary staff team. I provide strategic direction, operational oversight, and leadership to ensure services meet organisational goals while addressing the diverse needs of the community.In my role, I lead service development initiatives, implement innovative care models, and plan for workforce and service sustainability. I manage and develop managers and team leaders, fostering high-performing, collaborative teams through mentorship, supervision, and professional development. I oversee service delivery from referral to ongoing care, including support plans, risk assessments, safeguarding, and case management, ensuring operational processes run efficiently and effectively.I am responsible for monitoring key performance indicators, analysing operational data, preparing executive reports, and translating operational challenges into strategic decisions. Maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring compliance with regulatory, safeguarding, and health and safety requirements are core to my role, alongside overseeing budgets, resource allocation, and cost-efficiency initiatives to ensure sustainable service delivery.I also lead organisational change initiatives, embed best practices across teams, and drive continuous improvement in service provision. Building and maintaining high-level partnerships with local authorities, healthcare providers, housing services, and community organisations enables me to create integrated and holistic support networks. I am committed to promoting mental health awareness, reducing stigma, and representing the organisation in multi-agency forums. Additionally, I implement technology and digital systems to enhance operational efficiency and leverage data to drive service improvements.
