At Guardian Flight, my role transcends mere oversight; it involves steering our maintenance division with an unwavering commitment to 14-CFR regulations and a visionary approach to operational management. Our team has made significant strides in policy refinement and the seamless integration of new aircraft, ensuring both regulatory compliance and advanced EMS configurations align with our strategic goals.Drawing on a robust background in aviation maintenance, my tenure at U.S. Coast Guard was marked by the pioneering development of technical support for a vast MH60T fleet, underpinning inter-agency collaboration that fortified the H60 platform\'s operational coherence. Our efforts in quality assurance, coupled with the modernization of fleet avionics, have solidified my mission to perpetually uplift aviation safety and performance standards.
Experience
Assistant Director of Maintenance
Jun 2024 — Present · US
As the Assistant Director of Aircraft Maintenance, I help lead and oversee all maintenance operations for our nationwide fleet of 85 turbine-powered aircraft, including King Airs, Pilatus PC-12s, and Learjet 45s. My main focus is keeping every aircraft safe, reliable, and compliant with FAA, manufacturer, and company standards.I manage a team of Regional Maintenance Managers, quality and training staff, and dozens of skilled technicians spread across multiple states. Together, we handle everything from daily maintenance scheduling and inspections to aircraft upgrades, refurbishments, and FAA approvals for new aircraft joining the fleet.Much of my work centers on making sure our systems and programs meet all regulatory requirements under Parts 43, 91, and 135. I oversee our Minimum Equipment List (MEL) program, review and approve maintenance records, and work closely with the FAA to ensure transparency and continuous compliance.Safety and quality are at the heart of what I do. I lead maintenance involvement in the Safety Management System, manage FAA safety reporting, and make sure all vendors and partners meet our high standards for performance and documentation.I also help shape long-term maintenance planning—budgeting for major projects, supporting new base setups, and ensuring the right tools, training, and resources are in place for our team to succeed.
