Manage a team of financial analysts in the regular monthly fair market valuation, analysis, reporting, and disclosure of three trillion dollars in assets including: Single and Multi Family Mortgages, Non Performing Loans, Re-performing Loans and Real Estate Owned (REO). Using various estimation approaches including interest rate, prepayment, and home price models determine the expected cash flow from balance sheet assets. Oversee the estimation of key portions of the company’s single family collective reserve; compute the charge off amount on delinquent loans; regularly deliver critical and time sensitive financial reporting results; present and communicate results to senior management, regulators, internal/external auditors, operational risk, valuation oversight and model validation. Manage vendor and contractor relationships. Conceived, established and delivered a new valuation methodology for Fannie Mae’s REO inventory. The new process leverages our proprietary home price model and is faster, more efficient and more accurate than its predecessor. Since its implementation, it has saved the company over 50 million dollars. Led the creation and implementation of a new market valuation process for Non Performing and Reperforming Loans that increased precision and significantly reduced operational time and resources. Enhanced key aspects of the FAS 5 loss allowance estimation process resulting in reduced risk and improved accuracy. Productionalized and integrated Fannie Mae’s proprietary home price model with key business applications, expanding usage and providing improved home price accuracy. Instituted rigorous and controlled processes that adhere to SOX standards and consistently receive clean audits.
