ABOUT LAWRENCE LING
I have 37 years of civil engineering and construction industry experience, with over 20 in senior HSEQ management roles supporting various construction, engineering, civil engineering & infrastructure businesses. Over the years my roles have been regional, national and now international covering UK & Europe as a team leader and in a strategic / policy capacity.During my career I have learnt the value of building positive relationships at all levels to proactively influence improvements in HSEQ performance. I have a track record of developing strategic and pragmatic solutions, rolling them out effectively and securing positive, value added outcomes.Each of the businesses I have supported have dramatically reduced incident rates through the adoption of clearly articulated strategies around behavioural science, significant risk thinking and technology adoption. More recently, with a strong business focus on climate issues, I have been able to lead an effective strategy to reduce carbon emissions.Looking forward, I want to continue developing, coaching, mentoring & leading an effective team to support business success. My role is a strategic one of proactive support and direction to manage risk, reduce loss, improve efficiency and above all ensure people go home safe at the end of every shift.
