ABOUT LAWRENCE B. MENSAH
I am ambitious and highly self-driven. Interested in the advancement of equitable higher education and diversity in medicine. Also, very passionate about the design, development and commercialization of therapies in the field of precision genomic nanomedicine, photomedicine and microbiome. I have over 15 years of medical education, teaching, translational & basic science research & supervision experience.My passion for social entrepreneurship, higher education, healthcare equity, and public-private partnership led me to establish The Pathway Initiative Inc and Gateway Institute of Medicine and Health Sciences.As CEO, I work across two key program areas: development of equitable medical and higher education pathways for talented and motivated African American, Hispanic and Latinx students. The goal is to increase minority participation in the medical profession and alleviate healthcare disparity in marginalized communities.I\'m naturally compassionate and kind, enjoys teaching and mentoring.
