About Matt Lavoie

I have always been interested in the intersection of art and science. My interest in high speed photography led me to learn to program microcontrollers and allowed me to begin creating LED art installations at home. While working as a production engineer in Oklahoma City, I volunteered with Factory Obscura to create immersive art exhibits with a team of talented artists. This led to my involvement with 5TEN, helping them to install the Virtual Sky volumetric LED art installation in the OKC convention center, and then other projects around the US. Now I work with 5TEN on projects all over the world to bring highly bespoke lighting ideas to life.
