About Lavinia MacKall
Lavinia is a partner at The Mind Trust, a statewide charter incubator and accelerator in Connecticut. The Mind Trust plans to open 40 high performing charter schools in the state of CT over the next ten years while supporting the existing charter sector to scale quality schools for all CT students. Lavinia has a long track record of education leadership in her decade long tenure at Success Academy. As the Head of K-12 Learning Quality, she oversaw the effort to define and realize quality learning across Kindergarten to 12th grade. Lavinia was also a school superintendent. She directly managed 15 elementary and middle schools. She led organization wide initiatives to improve student outcomes as SA scaled from 7 to over 50 schools. Prior to that, Lavinia was a Principal with a demonstrated history of results. Led school turn around and increased performance on state exams by more than 40 percentage points in one school year.
