As the General Counsel for the Lenskart group, I lead the legal, compliance, corporate secretarial, ESG, and public affairs functions across our global business in India, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the Far East. My focus is on business enablement, rapid scaling, and corporate transformation. Key responsibilities and achievements include- M&A & Global Expansion: Legal strategy for high-value cross-border acquisitions and investments, including the acquisition of Owndays Inc. Established compliant regulatory structures for market entry into new geographies- Capital & Restructuring: Led fundraising initiatives with global investors. Led consolidation and corporate restructuring, effectively formulating a compliant business model which delivers shareholder value- Omnichannel Operations: Oversaw all legal aspects of the omnichannel D2C business, spanning manufacturing, e-commerce, and a growing global retail network- Supply Chain: Led the setup and commissioning of the world’s largest eyewear manufacturing facilities in India, and executed greenfield setups internationally- IPO Readiness: Drove the comprehensive roadmap for the IPO and eventually taking the company public - in the process leading governance overhauls and optimizing the group entity structure.
