My name is Lavanya Mittal, I have completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Economics with a minor in Business Administration from Boston University in May of 2019. During my time in university I have interned at Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (an RBI Think Tank), PWC Investment Banking in the Bangalore office, as well as Deloitte India in their M&A team based in Mumbai (which was converted to a full time offer at Deloitte post my graduation). Additionally, I was an active member in my college community and was on the executive board of three student run clubs which included the BU Entrepreneurship Club, BU Personal Finance Club as well as Phi Chi Theta (a technology/business based alumni community). In my first and only job I have worked as an analyst, and after being promoted a year and a half later, as a senior analyst in Deloitte DIJV, Mumbai (Corporate Financial Advisory team). In my years at Deloitte, I have worked in multiple teams across different sectors (Oil and Gas, Financial Services, TMT) and geographies (Denmark, Germany, UK, Canada). For the past year I have been in the TMT team with clients predominantly based in Canada and the U.K. My worked has involved extensive analysis of financials, companies and market/industry trends. Over the years I have honed my critical thinking, design and problem solving skills as well as extensively built up my research and communications skills.
