ABOUT LAVANYA MEHNDIRATTA
I am a Computer Engineering student at the University of Toronto, scheduled to complete my final year and graduate in April 2025. Through my software engineering internships, I have developed expertise in embedded systems, AI-driven enhancements, and software development. During my 16-month co-op at Qualcomm (2023-24), I developed and optimized embedded software for Snapdragon SoCs, focusing on GPU and NPU enhancements and reducing boot-up times. I previously worked as an Extreme Blue Technical Intern at IBM in Summer 2022, where I developed a new software feature for IBM\'s conversational AI product, Watson Assistant and devised a unique solution to make traditional chatbot knowledge discoverable with improved performance metrics. Earlier, I interned with Deloitte in Summer 2021 and the Ontario Government in Summer 2020, where I gained valuable experience working on workplace collaboration software projects.
