About Lauryn Shin

I am a fourth year student at the University of Virginia studying commerce with a concentration in management and IT. In addition to rigorous coursework in areas of business and humanities, I also hold leadership roles as the Internal Development Chair for Alpha Kappa Psi, the Outreach Chair for Humans for Justice at UVA, and the Finance and Fundraising Committee for UN Women at UVA. This past summer, I gained knowledge and professional experience as a management and marketing analyst. Through this internship, I learned crucial communication skills as well as the ability to work in a collaborative environment. This experience has prepared me to work efficiently and lead groups as well as communicate effectively with clients in order to build strong and lasting relationships. I look forward to broadening my strengths and improving my weaknesses, throughout my years in school and beyond, through immersing myself in diverse academic and professional environments. I believe that my dedication and willingness to learn gives me the ability to grow as a person and as a professional. This allows me to adapt and excel in any role I perform.
