I’ve always dreamed of having a store, a place to visit with friends and make new ones. It would be stocked with items that send my heart racing in the hopes that others would feel the same way. I started a scrapbook over ten years ago, and stuffed it with torn out pictures from magazines and photos to create the look and feel of my store.From the beginning, I named my imaginary store Pearls. No matter who you are or how you wear pearls, they make you look and feel ladylike. Pearls are luxurious, ageless, and timeless. Pearls can be both traditional and modern. Women over the age of forty remember when a pearl necklace and studs was a wardrobe staple, and quality clothes were the norm. Now our daughters have discovered the value of classics that stand the test of time, just like the generations of women before us. Now that my dream store is a reality, I can’t think of a better location for it. Pearls and San Marino/Pasadena go hand in hand. The community has a long history of quiet elegance that still exists today. Besides, Pearls is next door to everyone’s favorite restaurant Julienne!We now have our online boutique, so Pearls Girls can shop with us wherever they are. This spring, we will be opening our second store in Newport Beach, my hometown.My goal is to provide unique and quality collections that complement our lifestyle. I also look forward to giving back to the community that has been so good to my family by hosting fund raising events for local charities.The door will always be open at Pearls to visit, dream, and fall in love!
