ABOUT LAURIN UPTEGROVE
As a former Division I student-athlete at Winthrop University, where I earned a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, I realized I could not envision a career without incorporating my passion for design. Currently, I am a Master of Architecture Candidate in Clemson University’s Architecture + Health program, a NAAB-accredited and STEM-designated graduate degree program. I concentrate deeply on the design of health facilities and the connection between architectural environments and the health and well-being of individuals, communities, and global ecosystems. By blending the technical and creative aspects of architecture with the strategic and managerial skills of accounting, I aim to explore diverse and impactful careers that address the needs of both the built environment and the business world. I aspire to support the health and well-being of people, give back to the community through engagement efforts, and advocate for sustainable and inclusive design practices.
