ABOUT LAURIE SMITH

Hello everyone my name is Laurie Smith. I have a Bachelor\'s degree in Sports Communication from California Lutheran University. I also just received a Master\'s degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School, where I am learned how to apply business concepts and strategies to the sports industry. I have interned at Fox Sports in various departments over the past two years. I have gained valuable skills and insights in the sports media industry. I have created and posted engaging content for various social media platforms, covering events such as the London Series, MLB All-Star game, Home Run Derby, and the trade deadline. I have also edited Dr. Matt segments for the FIFA World Cup, which have over views on YouTube, using Adobe Premiere and Adobe Photoshop. Additionally, I have assisted during NFL and College Football game days, editing and distributing the Dr. Matt segments and the Gus Johnson call of the game.This is my third season as a member of Blue Crew for the Los Angeles Dodgers. I am part of a dynamic team that enhances the fan experience and supports the stadium operations. I escort mascot characters, celebrities, and pre-game guests, select on-camera contestants, organize props and prizes, and assist with ticket package giveaways.My goal is to continue to work in sports. I am always eager to learn from different departments and mentors, and to take on new challenges and opportunities. I am grateful for every experience that has shaped me and prepared me for the future.
