What you should know about me:1. I work well with everyone, a skill I think can be under valued. I have the ability to create and foster genuine relationships. My sister always jokes “everybody loves Laurie”. I have adopted the life changing “getting things done” methodology. Our brains can only hold 7 things, so it’s best to track what you need to do in an app or on paper!3. I am a problem solver by nature, always looking ahead to prevent issues. I love to learn. I’m not afraid to ask questions. And ask a question many different ways, if necessary, until I understand. Here is some work background;In my role as Material Supervisor (Planning & Scheduling) for steelcase, I have experience with S & OE Sales & Operations Execution, Capacity management (Including building/maintaining Long Term Capacity plans), DII/GAP/Inventory controls, PFEP (Plan for every part), Customer experience metrics, warehouse strategy, PD & L project launch/implementation and more. One of my proudest accomplishments, while in this role, was to lead, develop and implement a process and a role for managing disruptions in all our US and Mexico plants in the midst of Covid. Then, my time on the newly formed supply chain solutions team, was to quickly assess, formulate and implement short and long term strategies that would strengthen our supply chain. There was no solution off the table. I worked mainly on our Aluminum supply chain. As the Material Manager for long distance parts, my team supported all 9 plants in the US and Mexico. I learned and worked closely with our international transportation team, all things boats, ports and rail. I also supported many plants in a training/support capacity. My new role has me leading data migration/creation for Materials Warehousing and Flow. I’m helping develop and set up our S4 Hana EWM (From ECC) module to ensure the data supports our processes. I’ve learned all about SAP table names and sequel queries! I lead this for all our NA plants. My favorite food is Mexican. I love traveling. These contribute to my self care. I think loving your job is important. You do better work when you like doing it. My parents raised me with a strong work ethic. You can do anything or have anything you want, you just have to work for it. I love the feeling of a job well done. Lastly, laughter is the best medicine. I send out a “funny friday” email weekly to my team and many colleagues. We don’t share it with HR though, just kidding! Lol
