About Laurie Kowalevsky
For over two decades, my work at Eli Lilly centered on one core pursuit: understanding and improving the human experience. From leading consumer marketing and product development to designing experiences that truly met the needs of patients, I brought empathy and insight into every touchpoint. Just as importantly, I was committed to transforming the experience of the people within our organization. Through my leadership in gender equity and inclusion, I helped redefine how Lilly supported and valued all individuals—cultivating a culture where every voice mattered and every story had space to be heard.Today, that commitment continues in new and expansive ways. I now serve as a key contributor to Reconsider, a nonprofit media and workshop organization dedicated to fostering innovation, creativity, responsibility, and community to create a more connected and harmonious world.Reconsider tackles pressing individual and societal challenges with a focus on possibilities. By sparking curiosity and examining the core narratives that shape our lives, we empower visionary leaders (within all of us) to reimagine and co-create vibrant futures through creativity and collaboration. Whether through immersive gatherings, storytelling, or intergenerational leadership experiences, we invite people to pause, reflect, and take aligned action from a place of love and truth.\"You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.\" – Buckminster FullerI believe this moment calls for new models, new stories, and a return to what makes us deeply human. That’s the heart of my work today—and always.
