The Chief of Staff is the coordinator of the supporting staff and the primary aide to the Operator. The Chief of Staff provides a buffer between the Operator’s direct-reporting team and other Senior Leadership team. The Chief of Staff generally works behind the scenes to mediate disputes, determine meetings and their duration, act as a confidante and advisor, directs which information should make it to the Operator. The Chief of Staff serves as a counselor of sorts. The Chief of Staff coordinates special projects, creates and improves communication channels, coordinates virtual and in person meetings, assists the Operator with ventures and initiatives outside of the normal responsibilities as a Chick-fil-A Operator.
