ABOUT LAURIE FOGLEMAN

I graduated Summa cum laude from the Honors College at the College of Charleston in May 2022 with my BA in Communication. Throughout my undergraduate experience, I was a student-athlete & team captain (Women\'s Cross Country/Track and Field Teams), an exceptional scholar (3.91 GPA & professional development programs), & a dedicated leader across campus (multiple organizations/extracurriculars). I have a passion for reaching people of all backgrounds through enhanced communication & leadership skills. I have past internship experience both on & off-campus, in communication, marketing, journalism, & social media roles. I strive each day to create my brand of creativity & determination, through my organizational skills, self-motivation, & unmatched work ethic. In August 2023, I completed my Master’s degree in Communication through the Graduate School at the University of Charleston, South Carolina (CofC). Following this, I relocated from Charleston to Lexington, KY to begin my doctoral degree in Communication from the University of Kentucky.I just finished 2.5 years in the program & passed my qualifying exams, officially making me a PhD Candidate! Next, I will begin my dissertation research in Spring 2026 and graduate (tentatively) in Winter 2026. Looking ahead, I plan on pursuing either career in academics or a staff position at a university. I am passionate about organizational and sports communication research, as well as working with students!
