Laurie drives the overall strategic direction and operational results for Dash Digital Group, drawing on more than 25 years of experience developing and delivering business strategy, projects and technology solutions across multiple industries and companies of all sizes. Prior to her current role, Laurie spent 15 years in leadership positions managing systems, projects, mergers and acquisitions for Manulife Financial. Laurie has passionately advocated for the business use of the Internet since its early days and was even acknowledged in the landmark first edition of the Canadian Internet Handbook by Jim Carroll and Rick Broadhead in 1994. Laurie led the marketing initiatives at one of the first Canadian Internet Service Providers, and was responsible for the initial internet connections of national accounts such as the CBC and major banks. She subsequently founded a consulting firm to provide advice to businesses on how they could succeed on the Internet.
