At just two years old, I took a leap of faith—literally—by jumping into the pool without knowing how to swim. My reason was as simple as this: I wanted to swim, saw the opportunity, and took it. Even though I struggled, this story perfectly captures my innate quality of being a go-getter. Whether it’s tackling new challenges, pursuing adventure, or striving for excellence in every role, I thrive in an environment of growth and learning. As an Assistant Resident Director, I embraced the opportunity to go above and beyond my responsibilities as a Resident Assistant. I dedicated myself to creating a welcoming and engaging community, ensuring that every resident felt valued. This role taught me the importance of leadership and strong relationships, leading me to seek a role within Human Resource Management. My adventurous side led me to explore seven stunning national parks in a single summer as I interned for a small business in Billings, Montana. Making the bold move 17 hours away was well worth it, despite the cost of gas. My adventures that summer not only taught me how to quickly problem solve when my Google Maps went offline, but taught me in-depth knowledge regarding the roots of everyday business operations. I’m always eager for new experiences and challenges, whether in my professional life or personal adventures. After all, life is about learning and growing—sometimes you just need to jump in!
