Lauren is Nine’s Washington Correspondent, based in DC.Lauren was on the ground at the Atlanta prison when former U.S. President Donald Trump handed himself in on more than a dozen election interference charges and was at the New York Courthouse covering the historic first criminal trial of a US President. She travelled across the country during the 2024 Presidential Election, reporting from key battleground states in America.She was on the U.S./ Mexico border with immigration officers as the historic Title 42 was lifted, speaking to immigrants attempting to cross into America, and Lauren traveled to Brazil twice, as the only Australian journalist to cover the murder trial of Marcelo Santoro, from inside a Rio De Janeiro courtroom.Lauren has reported from the Oscars, the Grammys and the Golden Globes, and has interviewed many of Hollywood\'s biggest stars including; Kevin Costner, Ryan Reynolds, Snoop Dogg, Margot Robbie, John Krasinski, Peter Dinklage, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgard, Chase Crawford, Antony Starr and Sydney Sweeney.Prior to her foreign secondment, Lauren was a journalist at 9News Sydney, where she has covered a range of major news events, including the ultimately abandoned rape trial of former political staffer Bruce Lehrmann, the historic murder conviction of wife killer, Chris Dawson and was on the ground in the hardest hit areas to file throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.Lauren studied journalism at the University of New South Wales, and undertook a year of study abroad in the US state of Colorado, where she worked as a newsreader on a local radio station.Lauren began her career in television as a snow reporter in the NSW ski fields.
