About Laurențiu Anton

Laurențiu is a Ph.D. Candidate in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (EECS) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a current MIT Martin Fellow for Sustainability, and the Founding Partner at Anton & Company.Prior to MIT, Laurențiu held several key positions at Reykjavik University, including Program Manager for the Iceland School of Energy, Lecturer in Electrical Engineering, and Administrative Director for the Sustainability Institute and Forum. Laurențiu has worked as a Consulting Engineer and Project Manager, supporting power system operations and planning, as well as utility-scale solar, wind, and battery assets at various stages of development and operations. He holds a B.Sc. in Honors Mathematical Physics from the University of Waterloo, an M.Sc. in Sustainable Energy Engineering from Reykjavik University, and an S.M.(M.Sc.) in EECS from MIT. Outside of work, Laurențiu enjoys reading, fitness, and nutrition, often bringing his food scale to meetings to track his intake.
