Since joining the UK Walking the Talk programme, I have:• Spoken at the United Nations Foundation \'Power in Her Voice: Reimagining a Gender Equal Future\' event in New York for the UN Summit of the Future.• Supported a media activation with Malala Yousafzai after women and girls were not consulted in the planning or content of the Summit of the Future. We issued 12 demands of what girls want with cut outs of world leaders photographed all over New York.• Hosted a panel at the Feminist Futures Festival on Financing for Development.• Fed into the content for the Pact for the Future at a London Regional Event with UNA-UK and FCDO.• Facilitated two national feminist conventions.• Submitted content for our #WelcomeTheFuture social media campaign.• Engaged with MPs at the parliamentary Mandela +20 day of action.

A conscientious, self-motivated, and personable First Class BA History and Politics graduate who is working to build upon prior experience in order to excel in a career in local government at Greater Manchester Combined Authority.I have been consistently proactive in seeking opportunities to develop my skills beyond the walls of academia by gaining sought-after work experience in the House of Commons, an MP’s constituency office, completing political programmes, including Parliamentors, the Patchwork Masterclass Programme, and the Advanced Leadership, Campaigning and Advocacy Programme as well as founding the Nottingham Spiking Awareness Group, becoming a UN Women UK delegate for CSW68 and CSW69, a trustee for the South Liverpool Domestic Abuse Service, a member of Restless Development’s Walking the Talk Steering Group on gender equality, an Amnesty Feminist Committee Member on their VAWG campaign, a FLN Y20 Innovation and Digital Transformation Delegate, a graduate on the Impact (formerly NGDP) local government scheme at Liverpool City Council, working in the Finance and Neighbourhoods Directorate, and a Government Relations and Public Affairs Officer at Liverpool City Region Combined Authority. Equipped with a broad knowledge of current affairs, a successful history of working independently and at my own initiative as well as thriving off a busy, fast-paced, and collaborative environment have been instrumental with regards to shaping my professional character.
