About Lauren Ringdahl
Driven, creative, and collaborative licensed teacher with 8 years of lead teaching experience and 4 years in building educational programs. My passion is the magic of learning: I believe anyone can harness it and, with the right tools, chase it forever. This drives my teaching practice and engagement with students, families, and colleagues. My teaching career has been spent in ICT or ESL environments, supporting diverse learners to build confidence, trust in their process, and witness success. I live for those aha moments and the smile that says, “I get it now!”Prior to teaching, I built relationships between New York City high school students and caring mentors, planned educational events, hired and coached teachers and youth leaders, directed residential travel language programs, and wrote original curriculum. Throughout all my projects, I design experiences that help others explore the world, tackle something new, and see progress in their skills.I am especially interested in building affirming environments for immigrant and queer students, as well as creating community and support for parents and families. I am licensed in Childhood Education (Grades 1-6) in New York, and in Elementary Education (Grades 1-6) with an endorsement in ESL in Illinois.
