About Lauren Reinhold

As a seasoned attorney and HR specialist, I have over 28 years of experience in the legal field, with a focus on labor and employment law. Until DOGE slashed the federal workforce and drove out seasoned government professionals, I worked 16 years as a federal employee. Most recently, I served as a Project Lead for Instructor-Led Training at the Social Security Administration, where I facilitated professional development for SSA employees agency-wide. My duties included program lifecycle planning, external communications, automation, continual improvement, vendor management, and customer service. I was committed to good governance and the priority development of human capital in the federal sector. I do not shy away from commenting on the poor management of our Executive Branch by the current administration, as I seek a new role repairing the damage inflicted on our U.S. government. In addition to my role at SSA, I previously served as a union steward and officer within SSA, championing the needs of our public servant workforce. During a brief hiatus from SSA, I followed my dream to enforce collective bargaining rights, serving as a Field Examiner at the National Labor Relations Board, where I applied my knowledge of labor and employment law to ensure compliance and fairness in the workplace. My time at the NLRB helped me gain perspective on how to serve in a “good” HR where we put our employees first. Before my service with SSA, NLRB, and NTEU, I served in legal aid organizations and in private law practice, where I championed the rights of immigrants, impoverished people, and disabled Americans. I am also a volunteer and previous board member at the Kansas Lawyers Assistance Program (KALAP), where I support the well-being and professionalism of attorneys in Kansas.
