About Lauren Helton Kleitz
I’m a research strategist and educator passionate about turning data into insight that drives better learning, strategy, and outcomes across higher education. My career bridges corporate research and the classroom — connecting analytical rigor with a deep understanding of human behavior. As Corporate Research & Strategy Manager at Ellucian, I lead the end-to-end orchestration of strategically significant primary research — from scoping questions to designing surveys, moderating focus groups, analyzing data, and delivering actionable insights. I oversee Ellucian’s survey-based thought leadership initiatives, including the annual AI in Higher Education Survey and the HBCU AI in Higher Education Survey (in partnership with Huston-Tillotson University’s HBCU AiCON and UNCF). I also manage research programs that assess brand health, relationship satisfaction, and product development, while advancing data governance to strengthen the quality and impact of company data.Beyond my corporate role, I serve on the faculty at Thomas More University, where I lead the online Bachelor\'s program in psychology and teach courses in statistics, development, cognition, and more. I also regularly develop and deliver training programs for corporate and higher education audiences through EDUCAUSE and the Xavier Leadership Center. I’m passionate about fostering data literacy and helping students and professionals alike grow confident in interpreting and applying data to real-world challenges.Curious about survey design, data storytelling, or innovation in education?
