About Lauren Martinez

During my high school and college years I had the privilege of founding a non-profit organization that gave me the opportunity to travel throughout the U.S. giving over 200 keynote speeches. I can confidently say I am not only comfortable speaking to large audiences, I also love delivering a message and engaging with others. Communication is powerful and creates real change. As a published author of three books written for young girls as they battle the trenches of friendships, fitting in, girl drama and dating, I have learned that mentorship can be delivered in various forms. I love reading and writing. I find hope that my efforts continue that mindset for today’s generation. Throughout my journey of speaking, writing and creating a non-profit, I have learned a valuable lesson of celebrating the small successes along the way. One of my books, “Steps to Success: An Empowerment Guide” reached Amazon’s best selling list shortly after the release date. Leadership plays a role in how we see ourselves and how we empower others. My experience with the United Nations as a Youth Ambassador, Channel Kindness Reporter with Lady Gaga’s Born this Way Foundation Channel Kindness, Partnership with Alba Botanica’s #DoGoodDoBeautiful Marketing Campaign, Partnership with Proctor & Gamble’s “Mean Stinks” Campaign and my work with Girls Above Society has taught me that being a leader doesn’t mean we always take the lead. It means we have the skills to listen, learn, empower, work together, problem solve and have the courage to try for the first time and every time after. Where there’s a goal, a problem to solve, and the need for face-to-face communication, that’s where you’ll find me. Beware: I am a fiercely organized, smart and dedicated optimistic woman.
