ABOUT LAUREN THOMAS
I am a third-year Marketing Strategy major at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), with aspirations of contributing to the University Advancement Division, specifically within the events sector. As an former intern with the North Carolina Azalea Festival, I have had the privilege of organizing and overseeing this past year\'s Festival Parade. This has allowed me to enhance my expertise in creative marketing, event planning, and event execution.Pursuing my studies at the UNCW Cameron School of Business has opened numerous opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills in the marketing field. My role as a Resident Assistant has honed my communication abilities and adaptability in dynamic situations, while my involvement as a Student Ambassador has provided opportunities to serve both the on-campus and larger UNCW community through philanthropic and service-oriented initiatives. As the Vice-President of External Relations for Student Ambassadors, I have been able to expand our organizations reach through engaging marketing content and inviting visuals.These experiences have been instrumental in shaping me into a well-rounded individual. I am committed to leveraging these skills in future roles that focus on creating events that foster community engagement and unity. With the right opportunity, I aim to design and execute events that create safe and inclusive spaces where individuals and their communities can thrive.
