ABOUT LAUREN DURMUŞ

For as long as I can remember, I have loved two things: people and potential. I have channeled that love into a rewarding career, and now I’m turning it into a business. As a classroom teacher, educator coach, team and program lead, I’ve been consistently focused on connecting with people and helping them reach their highest potential. I do this through genuine care, support and challenge, as I guide them through carefully crafted experiences. I do things differently, and I encourage others to be brave and try new approaches as well. I learn from challenge and failure- I’m not perfect, but I’m always getting better. I thrive on designing programs and approaches from the ground up. I often combine multiple approaches to create something new. I’ve learned the hard way that a great idea is nothing if there’s not a strong plan for execution and a strong team to carry it out. I’ve also learned that the world has a knack for throwing wrenches in the best-laid plans. That’s why systems for tracking progress and adjusting course are near and dear to my heart. Relationships forged through presence, empathy, curiosity, and honesty are equally important.Through my personal and professional experiences, I have developed three major orientations: a strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion; a keen awareness of the importance of strong relationships and team cultures; and an unwavering positive response to challenge and change. Over my 15 years of work, I’ve determined that people grow the most through experiences that are practical, inspirational, and build on each other over time. That\'s why I\'ve dedicated myself to creating these types of transformative experiences at the individual, team, and organizational levels.
