About Lauren Donatelli
I am a Project Manager in Pittsburgh, PA at Massaro Construction. Thus far, I have been assigned to a variety of projects, ranging from high visibility new construction projects to local renovations. Some of these projects include the Allegheny Health Network (AHN) Wexford Hospital, where I gained experience working on a joint venture project with Gilbane Building Company, the Holy Family Institute Administration Building Renovation, which is an RACP project, and the Allegheny Observatory, which is a historical building renovation. My responsibilities include managing building subcontractors and coordinating with owners and architects. My day-to-day activities include reviewing submittal information, coordinating daily deliveries and construction activities per the project schedule, updating drawings, reviewing change orders, and solving problems on site as they arise. I am an ambassador for Massaro Construction in their efforts to enhance higher education, acting as a liaison for project presentations as requested to Architectural Engineering classrooms on Penn State\'s campus. I am also active in the Schreyer Honors College Alumni Group, acting as a mentor and interviewing candidates for the incoming class. Prior to working for Massaro, I was a student at The Pennsylvania State University, main campus; also a member of the school’s Schreyer’s Honors College, having made the Dean’s List all semesters. My Masters degree is in Architectural Engineering, with a minor in Business. Active in many campus organizations, including Women in Engineering Program (WEP), Bridges to Prosperity, The Society of Women Engineers (SWE), The Pann State Dance Marathon (THON), and The Engineering Orientation Network (EON), I appreciate the solid foundation that my education has given me. Summer internships included work at Turner Construction at the Shell Cracker Plant in Monaca, PA and PJDick’s work on the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex and central Catholic STEM Building. As part of my studies, I had the opportunity to travel and study in Rwanda, the Czech Republic, Columbia and China. I received various academic awards and scholarships while at Penn State, including First Runner Up in the prestigiousWEP Joelle Women in Engineering Leadership Award in 2018. I am interested in hearing more about connection opportunities in my field of study, as well as opportunities to provide support for women in engineering.
