ABOUT LAURENCE KERSZ

My life is a journey through the world of cooking. I am, by turns, a chef, pastry chef, author and food stylist. A passionate fan of cakes, I graduated from the prestigious Europe’s leading culinary Institute, FERRANDI Paris where I got my professional diplomas in pastry and cooking. A born adventurer, I then left France for the United States spending thirteen years “with flour-covered hands” in Los Angeles and New York. Back in France, I returned to my roots, writing the best-selling book “ The Cuisine Of My Polish Jewish Grandmothers.” A collection of traditional recipes, sourced from interviews, it celebrates the cooking of my forbears: a cuisine where one measured out ingredients not in grams, but in handfuls. I then donned my apron and chef’s hat again. As a food stylist, I share my passion for taste and the aesthetics of food in the production of videos and photos. Working alongside photographers and video artists, I create recipes destined for a global market, the press and advertising agencies. My objective? To capture moments of life in my images.
