ABOUT LAURENCE BOITET

My goal is to provide my expertise in research, leadership development, and communication to make meaningful impact in this world. Daily, I work to support productive, and authentic work environments in which individuals can flourish. I have a unique and carefully crafted career journey in which I have coupled my interest in science, writing, education, as well as human and organizational behavior to inform and execute high-quality research outcomes. I am an industrious and highly motivated individual with extensive experience in hypothesis and curiosity-informed project development, experimental design, quantitative and qualitative methods, statistical analysis and modeling, data communication, and intervention development. I have extensive multidisciplinary experience in biomedical science, education, and organizational behavior research that is coupled with a tenacity for using my skills as a researcher, teacher, and mentor to improve educational and organizational outcomes. I wake up every day determined to use my unique skillset to make meaningful contributions to knowledge and foster environments rich in integrity, inclusivity, and rigor. My research goal is to identify drivers of job satisfaction, distress, turnover, as well as individual and organizational stressors in healthcare workers, with special emphasis on biomedical researchers. I seek to provide evidence to inform the development of interventions and educational programs that aim to retain and support the success of the medical and research workforce. I lead a small and mighty team to collect data, design and implement impactful evidence-based educational interventions, routinely evaluate program design, communicate with and involve stakeholders in program planning, develop impactful scholarship, and consistently think outside of the box to provide our organization with the tools it needs to be successful.
