ABOUT LAUREN URRUTIA
Prior to joining Preventative Medicine, I worked in the hi-tech industry for 10 years. Starting in 2013 I experienced a life altering diagnosis of epilepsy. Since this diagnosis, I struggled with seizures and migraines, relying on western medications. While these medications helped suppress my symptoms, they did not resolve the underlying problem. In 2020 I started working with Functional Medicine professionals and my health began to dramatically improve! Today I am free of migraines and have significantly reduced my anti-seizure medications. I attribute this significant improvement in my health to Functional Medicine and in 2021 decided to make a career change to this field. I graduated from the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy in 2022 where I received my certification in Health Coaching. I have a strong passion for empowering clients to achieve their health goals and also speak directly from my own experiences.
