I left WOWT at the beginning of September when I said I was leaving local news. I’m proud to announce that I haven’t completely left the news industry and I’m working as an anchor/reporter for Straight Arrow News (SAN). After working in several TV news markets across the country for 10+ years, I decided to leave TV news and make the change to a digital news platform. ABOUT LAUREN TAYLOR
With more than 10 years of experience in the TV News industry, I am a passionate and versatile anchor, reporter and storyteller who strives to deliver fact-based, unbiased, and trustworthy stories to viewers dependent on coverage for the facts. I joined Straight Arrow News (SAN) in September 2023, a digital news platform that offers creative freedom and editorial independence to its journalists. I am excited to be part of SAN\'s mission to provide accurate, balanced, and relevant news across the country and the world. I believe that my diverse background, skills, and interests can contribute to SAN\'s vision and culture.In my current role as an anchor/reporter at SAN, I cover a variety of topics and issues, ranging from politics and economy to health and culture. I use my social media content creation and external communications skills to engage with the viewers and share stories that matter to them. I also collaborate with other reporters, editors, and producers to produce high-quality and compelling content for the website and social media platforms. Prior to joining SAN, I was an evening anchor at WOWT in Omaha, NE (Gray Television) for five years, where I gained valuable experience and recognition in the local news market.
