About Lauren Singer
As a Radio Systems Integration Engineer at Sonos I wrote Python automation to test the WiFi and Bluetooth on our speakers’ radios. I designed a tool that plots the OTA path loss between the DUT antennas and pick up antennas over each channel in the 2.4G, 5G, and 6G bands. It algorithmically selects the best pick up antenna for each channel based on band flatness and power. The automation connects to Litepoints, signal analyzers, switches, and DUTs using SCPI and SSH commands. My job also required me to conduct tests such as PER, EVM, and WSS on the radio. I am extremely proficient in MATLAB and Python and can learn any programming language quickly. I thrive in collaborative environments where I can connect with others, share ideas, and work together to achieve common goals. I enjoy interacting with new people and am able to connect to them on a personal level. I graduated from Binghamton University in May 2021 where I maintained a 3.96 major GPA, worked as a course assistant for MATLAB, linear algebra, and digital logic design courses, and was an e-board member for Alpha Omega Epsilon engineering sorority.Recently, I thru hiked the Appalachian Trail, started a t-shirt and sticker business that allows me to tour with bands like Billy Strings and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, and am a caretaker at Blackburn Trail Center on the Appalachian Trail. I’m planning to participate in trail maintenance and start a small guitar pedal business while I’m there.
