About Lauren Schutter
From a young age, I’ve been drawn to the world of journalism and media. With my late mother as an English teacher, a love for storytelling was introduced to me early, shaping both how I see the world and how I want to share it with others. That passion has led me to hands-on experience in news and sports writing, social media content creation, advertising research, videography, podcasting, and photo/video editing—experiences that have reinforced not only my desire to pursue journalism, but my appreciation for collaboration and teamwork.I am a student-athlete at the University of North Carolina, where I have immersed myself in the Hussman School of Journalism and Media through a range of MEJO courses. I am proud to be a Tar Heel and to represent UNC everywhere my career has taken me.Driven by impactful storytelling and a deep and earnest care for the way I strive to tell stories, I am excited to continue developing my skills and exploring the ever-evolving landscape of media journalism.
