At MVCTC, I am one of two Graphic Commercial Art instructors teaching both juniors and seniors in high school. I teach a variety of skills from traditional illustration to graphic design. My students complete projects involving graphite, colored pencil, pen and ink, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. In the GCA lab, we focus on drastically improving traditional illustration skills, building a strong design foundation, and highlight the entire design process from ideation to completion. I assist students in pursuing their next steps whether that is portfolio development for the workforce or a college education.
