ABOUT LAUREN RACKSTRAW

15+ years experience within the food retail sector, currently working as a Senior Operations Manager (North East) for Morrisons. In this role I lead and support the region to deliver the most efficient, compliant and profitable businesses possible with Customer Satisfaction at the heart of all decisions. Ensuring that customer service and brand loyalty is promoted and expanded through everything we do, as a region, we aim to strive above the expectations of the customer. I strongly believe this is only possible by creating a highly motivated and engaged team who live and breathe a culture of Customer First. Customer service has always remained a passion of mine since my role as customer service manager within Sainsbury\'s. My Journey across multiple retailers and a variety of sales models has always lead back the importance of exemplary service and how this impacts all KPIs within the business. I have enjoyed the role of Customer lead for the region in both Sainsbury\'s, Aldi & Morrisons. Alongside the fast pace of regional role life I also enjoy running my own small business, a budding florist. The overlap between the knowledge required to run a successful retail business has lead to a strong franchisee mindset. The goal of achieving an efficient and profitable business both within the floristry industry and retail starts with making the customer smile, that, of course is nice and easy when receiving a bouquet!I entered into my early career as customer service manager whilst completing a BA HONS in Magazine Journalism at the University of Sunderland.
