ABOUT LAUREN OSBORNE-PATTERSON

I was recently selected out of 200+ candidates to undergo the COMBAR access scheme, aiding my progression to the commercial bar via being mentored by counsel at Fountain Court Chambers. In April, I competed on behalf of the University of Cambridge amongst several international and national university teams in the International Roman Law Moot, placing as a small finalist after a week of mooting. I have also recently won the 1 Hare Court family law moot, alongside my co-respondent, advocating in front of an audience of chambers members, Cambridge students, and academics. Last summer I underwent a placement at Citizens Advice, providing free, unbiased legal advice to users of the charity for two months. I won the Cambridge University Commercial Negotiation Society\'s annual negotiation competition beating 40 teams in 2024.I matriculated at the University of Cambridge to study Law in 2023 after achieving 43/45 in the international baccalaureate. I underwent work-experience with the local law firm Downs Solicitors at the Dorking and Godalming offices, looking at case-studies of hypothetical situations alongside current ongoing cases. Alongside Bill Mew, I developed cyber crisis simulation exercises looking at how a company can practically apply legal concepts to protect their companies, alongside working full-time. I am avidly searching for work experiences at international cybersecurity corporations, commercial chambers, or public law organisations.
