ABOUT LAUREN NASSI

Hello! My name is Lauren Nassi! 1L at the University of Florida, I am a highly driven, passionate, and hardworking student who is eager to learn. I previously earned a Masters of International Business. Prior to that, I completed undergraduate dual degrees, including a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a specialization in Leadership and Mass Communications. In addition to this, I have two minors in Leadership and International Development and Humanitarian Assistance. With these degrees, coupled with my law degree, I hope to deepen my understanding of the connections between government and economics and how the two directly relate as well as gain a deeper understanding of the foundations of our government through participating in internships, research, study abroad, and other educational experiences. Throughout my time as a student, participating in professional experiences outside of the classroom has something I have found to be a alternative form of learning crucial to my education and preparation for my future. Working as a legal intern at DLT Law and the Eighth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida has allowed me to learn more about different fields of law. These roles have taught me valuable skills such as contract writing, brief writing, business formation and registration, Florida criminal score sheets, etc. Connecting within my community has been a passion of mine for as long as I could remember. I have found a way to translate this passion throughout my experience as a student by working to revamp schools around Alachua county through my volunteering with Project Makeover, where I served in multiple roles prior to becoming the Director of Marketing on the organizations executive board. In this position, I was able to engage, connect, and inform like-minded individuals and others in the Gainesville community. Roles like this allow me to further explore my love for consulting and strategy. I\'ve always strived to be a leader in everything I do. Through Heavener School of Business programs, such as the Florida Leadership Academy, I have had hands on experience that has aided me in enhancing my skills to lead immensely.
