About Lauren Morando Rhim
I’m a strategic and collaborative, mission-driven leader with 20+ years’ experience in nonprofit and education leadership, particularly focused on ensuring quality education access for K-12 students with disabilities. Through my career as a researcher, consultant, and nonprofit leader, I’ve been motivated by my passion for improving opportunities for marginalized students and underserved communities. I’m known for combining my passion and energy with a calm, strategic mindset; effective coalition building; and pragmatic, data-driven problem-solving to achieve broad national impact. I’m proud to have been the founding Executive Director of The Center for Learner Equity (CLE), a national nonprofit focused on ensuring that K-12 students with disabilities can access and thrive in quality public schools. In leading CLE for its first 12 years, I led the organization\'s strategic vision, start-up and growth (raising more than $20M), as well as research, advocacy, capacity-building, and coalition development. I enjoy building and guiding high-performing teams, and I lead with the core values that drive my professional life: authenticity, collaboration, curiosity, excellence, integrity, learning, and transparency. To any team I join, I bring proven skills in building effective coalitions; navigating conflict and finding pragmatic solutions; and leveraging data to inform policy and practical change.
