Responsible for the overall planning and implementation of events at Michigan Medicine which fund raise, engage, steward, and cultivate relationships with donors in the Michigan Medicine Office of Development. In addition, the events team executes events for the Medical School and Michigan Medicine including, but not limited to signature fundraising events, campaign events, faculty and staff awards, White Coat ceremony, Medical School graduation, alumni relation dinners and professorship inaugurations. Responsible for over seeing a team, partnering with departmental stakeholders on the strategy and execution of a portfolio of events as well as provide support to various third party fundraisers and work with donors who are raising money for various Michigan Medicine causes and providing support to ensure success. Will manage events and oversee the activities of team members who will partner with specific gift teams within Michigan Medicine development. This position requires the highest standards of excellence in event planning and execution necessary to represent the health system to donors, alumni, leadership, faculty and staff. This position also requires excellent leadership and motivational abilities and to be able to work independently and prioritize tasks within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
