ABOUT LAUREN MITCHELL

I have spent the majority of my career as an Occupational Therapist working in the area of Neurorehabilitation. I gained experience working in NHS community settings before transferring to the private sector to work with clients who had physical and cognitive difficulties as a result of acquired brain injury, stroke and spinal cord injury. I moved to work at Clinical Mobility Solutions in 2022 to focus my attention on providing bespoke postural assessments for clients with profound and complex physical and cognitive disabilities. Clients include those with brain injury, cerebral palsy, spinal injury or other complex disabilities and neurological conditions. My role involves undertaking comprehensive assessments of client’s 24 hour postural needs and providing detailed written reports and bespoke equipment in their homes and community settings.I have a keen interest in using a practical and goal orientated approach to maximise a client’s potential for independent living. I am able to provide bespoke training packages to client’s support teams to assist with the management of complex physical needs and creation of bespoke 24hour postural management programmes with the aim to maximise client function and comfort.
