I loved the freedom andcreativity the field offered. I loved how soccer is truly a team sport. Thateveryone contributes in some form. That you could be a contributor inmany ways and that it is the aggregate contributions that creates wins.Despite a desire to make my career in the game, two ACL reconstructionsforced me into retirement at 20 years old. But what I love about soccerstayed with me and the lessons learned there have driven success in my 15+year sales career in the investment management industry.Mentoring and collaboration are as important as skill building and strategyin driving teams to produce outstanding results. I’ve consistently proven thecombination of these can accelerate the achievement of business goals. It’smanaging by being an “accelerator”. But performing at your best gives thepeople around you permission to be their best and allows you all to excel atthe highest level.
