About Lauren Langley

I am a dual-degree student at UNC Chapel Hill, pursuing a BS in Business Administration, a BA in Media and Journalism, and a minor in Spanish for the Professions. My core competencies include Spanish-speaking, consulting casing, operations, and digital marketing skills. I am also a Global Programs Specialist at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, where I assist with planning and promoting study abroad programs for students and faculty. Through my experiences, I have developed a passion for global education and intercultural communication, and I am eager to bring my diverse perspectives and experiences to a team. I am also interested in learning more about the applications of technology and AI in marketing and data collection, as I have presented on this topic during my summer internship at Jeff Gordon Inc.During my time as a student in Kenan-Flagler, I have gained strong skill development through coursework, a working knowledge of business fundamentals as a part of project teams, and opportunities to interact with Kenan-Flagler alumni and accomplished faculty while beginning to build a network to explore additional internship opportunities.Consulting has been a topic of interest for me since I was a child. My mother worked as a management consultant with Gallup, so I learned of the consulting world through her eyes. Now, having had my own exposure and experiences, my interest in consulting has been reignited. The teamwork aspect of casing and the ability to employ different frameworks to solve a puzzle-like case efficiently and effectively is invigorating.Outside of the classroom, I am expanding my horizons through internship experiences. This past summer I interned for Associations of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges (AGB). In this role, I collaborate with my team to develop strategic plans for education institutions to ensure optimal performance and accreditation. I analyze survey data using AI and deductive reasoning to draw actionable insights. Lastly, I create and deliver presentations to effectively and efficiently convey findings. This experience has set me up for success as I pursue a career in consulting upon graduation in May.
