ABOUT LAUREN KARGAS
I am currently completing a degree in biosystems engineering at UK, focusing on finding sustainable solutions to environmental problems. I’m an active member of the Pigman College of Engineering, taking on roles as lead peer mentor for the Engineering Living Learning Program and president of the UKY chapter of the ASABE Biosystems student branch. I also currently work at the Pigman CoE Innovation Center and in a water resources research lab, and in turn, have a valuable background in machinery, engineering design, and lab procedures. After graduating and spending some time in the industry, I am interested in pursuing a graduate degree in biological engineering and furthering my career in academia.
